“Soundscape” unfolds like a visual symphony across the snowboard’s surface. On the left, three faces emerge in sequence — the first with a mischievous glint, the second calm and grounded in meditation, and the third in a state of pure release. This final figure extends an arm outward in a fluid gesture, part movement, part dance, embodying the act of letting go.

From the fingertips, flowing lines and sound-wave shapes ripple across the board, carrying the viewer into a world where music becomes visible. These waves transform into intricate geometric forms on the right, converging into a luminous, multi-layered prism — the crystallization of sound into light and structure.

The shifting background from cool, meditative blues to warm, radiant tones mirrors the emotional journey: from playful curiosity, through inner stillness, to the exhilarating freedom of expression.

Statement From Michael

Soundscape was born from my fascination with how music moves through us — not just as sound, but as energy, emotion, and transformation. On the left, three faces emerge like stages of a song’s journey within the self: the spark of playful mischief, the quiet grounding of meditation, and the ultimate release into pure motion.
That final figure extends outward, releasing the rhythm into the air — a gesture somewhere between dance and surrender. From the fingertips, the sound flows across the board as visual waves, shifting, bending, and transforming until it crystallizes into layered geometry. To me, this represents the way sound can move from raw feeling into something tangible and structured, without losing its magic.
Painting this on a snowboard felt natural since I have snowboarded most of my life — a surface built for movement, speed, and flow. It’s a reminder that art, music, and motion are all connected — each one capable of carrying us from thought into freedom.
