In the left foreground, a unicorn rears at the cliff’s edge, locking in midair with a winged Pegasus. Painted in pale tones with rich violet accents, they radiate both strength and otherworldly grace, encircled by golden arcs of energy that ripple outward as if their clash is bending space itself.
The sky behind them swirls in ribbons of teal, turquoise, and deep indigo, spilling into a galaxy scattered with stars. On the far right, the cosmic backdrop hides a greater truth: what first appears as an island is in fact the crown of a colossal, sacred owl, its head rising from the cosmic waves. A lone tree grows from its brow like a living ornament, symbolizing ancient wisdom rooted in a guardian spirit. The owl’s feathered patterns conceal its glowing eyes—calm, watchful, and infinitely knowing.
The unicorn and Pegasus are not fighting in the emptiness of space, but balanced on the very tip of the owl’s extended wing. The great bird’s presence transforms their battle into something more than a contest of strength—it feels like a sacred rite, overseen by a timeless guardian while galaxies spiral in witness.

This painting was created as a commission for my friend Kaiya, inspired by her love for myth, symbolism, and the unseen forces that guide us. At first glance, it’s a fierce meeting between a unicorn and a Pegasus, their energy bending the very air around them. But as the scene unfolds, a deeper presence emerges—the vast, sacred form of an owl, its wing serving as the stage for their battle. From the owl’s brow grows a single tree, a living emblem of wisdom, resilience, and the enduring roots of spirit.
For me, this piece became more than a depiction of a duel—it’s a story about trials, guidance, and the guardians who watch over us from beyond sight. Like Kaiya herself, it holds both grace and strength, wrapped in the mystery of the cosmos.
