A purple figure floats in midair, suspended in awe, her legs crossed above a dreamy, otherworldly landscape. An open book rests in her lap—alive with energy—as swirling ribbons of color and light spiral from its pages, connecting to her heart and expanding into the cosmos. From this sacred book rises a torrent of ancient knowledge, cascading music, and electrifying stories that twist through the air like a storm of imagination.

Among the unfolding tales, a wizard emerges—etched in light and shadow—shaking stories from his own magical book. His pages tumble down like feathers, drifting in front of the witnessing figure. Love stories fall apart in midair, dissolving into poetic fragments, while ships sail through celestial spheres and piano keys spiral toward the heavens.

With eyes wide in wonder, she bears witness to it all—chaos and beauty, memory and myth—making the ultimate connection between every note, every word, every symbol. She becomes the arc that bridges story and soul, the sacred thread weaving knowledge, music, love, and loss into a single, transcendent moment of awakening.

Statement From Michael

The Arc came to me in a flash—one of those rare, electric moments when imagination hits so hard it pulls you out of the flow of everyday life. I was driving back from a festival, heading straight into another live painting event in Reno, where I was living at the time. The sun was beginning to set, casting golden light across the sky, and suddenly this entire image dropped into my mind… like a download. It was so vivid, so alive with meaning, I had to pull over. I got out of the car and just walked, breathing it in, watching the clouds catch fire as this vision unfolded in my head.

The image of an open book releasing a storm of stories into the sky is something I’ve carried with me since the second grade—but in that moment, something new appeared. A floating figure, serene and powerful, with the book resting in her lap as stories, music, and ancient knowledge rose in a wild, beautiful swirl around her.

For me, this painting became a symbol of becoming aware—the moment when you realize how every story, every fragment of knowledge, every note of music is connected. It’s about seeing the bigger picture for the first time, feeling the threads that link imagination, memory, and the present moment. It’s about waking up to the truth that we are part of something vast and wondrous.
