A glimpse into the mind’s storm—Entangled captures the moment when emotion, thought, memory and Imagination collide. A tender face peers through the chaos, her hand reaching out as ribbons and images of energy and language swirl, knot, and scatter around her. at this point she wonders what is the difference between reality and dreaming? This piece speaks to the beauty and weight of the inner world—where the self is shaped not by clarity, but by complexity. A meditation on vulnerability, connection, and the tangled pathways of imagination.

I began this painting with the intention of creating a simple landscape—but somewhere along the way, imagination intervened. What was once calm and composed unraveled into something far more personal: a chaotic release of thought, emotion, and imagination.
Entangled reflects that shift—the way the mind sometimes overrides direction and pulls you inward, deeper, into the tangled threads of your inner world. Shapes merged. Ideas collided. The composition bent to the will of something unseen. In that surrender, a different kind of truth emerged.
This piece is about that moment: the feeling of not being able to understand what a dream is and what is reality when you’re no longer painting what you planned, but what you feel.
